<blockquote><p><a href="http://www.blogtalkradio.com/gov20/2010/03/01/government-20-radio" target="_blank">Changing the World, One Gov 2.0-Enabled Voice at a Time:</a> Join a preview of Gov 2.0 Camp New England with <a href="http://twitter.com/sarahebourne" target="_blank">Sarah Bourne</a> of MassGov and <a href="http://yasminfodil" target="_blank">Yasmin Fodil</a> from <a href="http://wethegoverati.wordpress.com/" target="_blank">HKS</a>, followed by a conversation with <a href="http://twitter.com/wmburke" target="_blank">Wayne Moses Burke</a> of the <a href="http://openforumfoundation.org/" target="_blank">Open Forum Foundation</a>.</p>
<p>We talk with Wayne about tools like <a href="http://govluv.org/" target="_blank">GovLuv</a> &#8211; for connecting citizens to their elected reps through social media, the upcoming <a href="http://greatces.eventbrite.com/" target="_blank">citizen engagement developers workshop</a> and <a href="http://participationcamp.org/" target="_blank">Participation Camp</a> he&#8217;s working on, and his vision for advancing public participation in government by connecting government managers and staff, public engagement experts, online tool developers, and citizens.</p>
<p>&#8220;I think our focus as a community needs to change from &#8216;technology in government&#8217; to &#8216;citizen-centered government,&#8217;&#8221; Wayne says. &#8220;What we&#8217;re really in the middle of is a broad cultural shift that I believe will result in an engaged citizenry. The complication on the government side is being ready for that.&#8221;</p></blockquote>

<p>We&#8217;ve got an extra special show planned for this Sunday night, as we lead off with a discussion of the Federal government&#8217;s use of collaborative online tools to solicit citizen&#8217;s ideas for reform. You can follow this phase of the <a href="http://www.whitehouse.gov/omb/assets/memoranda_2010/m10-06.pdf" target="_blank">Open Government Directive (pdf)</a> implementation <a href="http://www.opengovtracker.com/" target="_blank">here</a>.</p>
<p><a href="http://twitter.com/JennGustetic" target="_blank">Jenn Gustetic</a> from Phase One Consulting Group will join the podcast to talk about the ideas gathered by top-drawer agencies, and we hope to hear your thoughts as well &#8211; follow <a href="http://twitter.com/gov20radio" target="_blank">Gov20Radio</a> and use <a href="http://search.twitter.com/search?q=%23g2r" target="_blank">Twitter hashtag #g2r</a>.</p>
<p>Also joining us is <a href="http://twitter.com/davebriggs" target="_blank">Dave Briggs</a> of Learning Pool, author of a <a href="http://www.learningpool.com/blog/01/dave-brigg%E2%80%99s-twitter-guide-for-government-goes-global/" target="_blank">popular and useful Twitter guide for government</a>. Dave will join the discussion of open government efforts here and in the UK, and also highlight a recent UK gov camp he put together.</p>
<p>Finally, we&#8217;ll be talking about social media for governance and politics with Swimfish CIO <a href="http://twitter.com/johnfmoore" target="_blank">John F. Moore</a>, who&#8217;s been doing some great analysis of Twitter use by elected officials. Here are just a few of John&#8217;s recent blog posts to chew on: &#8220;<a href="http://johnfmoore.wordpress.com/2010/02/13/which-us-governor-is-really-the-twitter-governor/" target="_blank">Which U.S. Governor is Really the Twitter Governor?</a>&#8220;; &#8220;<a href="http://johnfmoore.wordpress.com/2010/02/09/the-state-department-using-collaboration-and-social-for-operational-effectiveness/" target="_blank">The State Department Using Collaboration and Social for Operational Effectiveness</a>&#8220;; &#8220;<a href="http://johnfmoore.wordpress.com/2010/02/06/adding-transparency-to-the-public-meeting-process/" target="_blank">Adding Transparency to the Public Meeting Process</a>&#8220;; and, &#8220;<a href="http://johnfmoore.wordpress.com/2010/01/21/massachusetts-senate-race-social-media-success-or-failure/" target="_blank">Massachusetts Senate Race Social Media Success or Failure</a>?&#8221;</p>
<p><a href="http://live.gov20radio.com" target="_blank">Join us LIVE Sunday at 9 p.m. ET!<br />
